Fleetwood signed the French defender in August 2015 following a trial.
The 6`4” centre-back, who can also play in midfield, was offered a deal in the United States where he would study Business at Erskine College, as well as play for the college’s side, the Erskine Flying Fleet.
The defensive minded player then transferred to Nova Southeastern University and was placed in their side, the Nova Southeastern Sharks.
At the start of the 2015 season, Nirennold signed for Premier Development side FC Miami City and made fifteen appearances for them in is only season there.
He then signed a two-year deal with Fleetwood later that year, after having a successful trial spell in August 2015.
He made his debut for the Cod Army the next month in a 1-1 draw against Rochdale at Highbury Stadium.
He had to wait for his first goal but it was an important one as he scored the equaliser against Northampton Town in the opening game of the 2016/17 season.
The Frenchman has gone on to feature fifty-four times in all competitions for the Cod Army.
