Greene: We'll pick off where we left off

Boston United boss Dennis Greene believes his side will pick up where they left off last time out when the new Vanarama National League North season kicks off on Saturday.

After finishing third last season and keeping most of his squad together, Greene, pictured, isn't surprised that the Pilgrims are one of the favourites for promotion.

Greene, who has been in charge at Boston for two full seasons, said: “We've got the right team from the start, so I'm fully expecting us to perform in the first half of the season just like we have over the second half of the last two seasons.”

Green's latest signing, Slovakian teenage keeper Henrich Ravas from Peterborough United, is set to be plunged in at the deep end at the weekend when Boston travel to meet Stockport County at Edgley Park.
