Green Remains A Spartan For Another Month

Young midfielder Kieran Green has extended his loan from Gateshead with National League North side Blyth Spartans until January 13th.

The 20-year-old has spent the last month at Croft Park, making five appearances in all competitions and impressing manager Alun Armstrong.

Green, who played for Spartans in their Buildbase FA Trophy First Round victory against league rivals AFC Telford United on Tuesday night, will be able to be recalled by Gateshead at any time before the end of his loan spell if necessary.

The former Hartlepool United player is yet to make a competitive appearance for The Heed`s first-team this campaign, but will be hoping his spell in Northumberland can help him push on.
