Green Becomes A Red For The Remainder Of The Season

Alfreton Town have signed defender Elliot Green on loan from National League side Guiseley AFC until the end of the season.

Green began his career at Lincoln City in 2012, before spending time at various non-League sides including Stamford AFC, Sheffield FC and Grantham Town.

He moved to Sweden in 2014 with Ånge IF, before moving to Gällivare Malmbergets FF and Sollefteå GIF FF in 2015.

Green then signed with United Soccer League outfit Whitecaps FC in February 2016 where he made eleven appearances before making the switch back to England with Guiseley in December 2016, signing a new deal with the Lions in June 2017.

He has made eight appearances for the Lions this season.

Alfreton manager Chris Moyses told his club`s official website: "We are pleased to have Elliot with us, it gives us good competition for places and another option at the back. He is a left sided centre half and will provide us with nice balance and cover at the back. He will be available for selection on Saturday".
