Gray Calls For Fans To Stick Behind The Team

Darlington take on FC United of Manchester tonight as they look to gain their first win since 12th August.

Martin Gray has urged fans to get behind his side as they look to end a dissapointing run of results that haven't been helped by a number of injuries to key defenders, writes Tom Feaheny.

Darlo picked up ten points from their opening four games but have then picked up just three more points since.

When looking ahead to that match and the injuries they have had Gray told the club website.

"We have players missing, I understand the frustration, we need to get some players back, strengthen the squad, when we had a settled team we got the results, I want the fans to stick with us like they have always done in the past.

"It is tough, we can't get upset about it, it is all about how we react to it and we aim to do something positive, the game against FC United of Manchester is important for us to get that win before the cup game.

When looking at the importance of the match Gray said.

"We see it as another game but it would be good for us to get that win, that momentum before the short break from the league."
