Gerring Makes Permanent Truro Move

Truro City have completed the permanent signing of no-nonsense defender Ben Gerring.

The commanding 26-year-old enjoyed a successful loan spell with the White Tigers last season before returning to parent club, Torquay United, whom he helped secure their National League status.

Following his release from Plainmoor, he has committed himself to us as Truro look to make their mark next term.

“This is an excellent acquisition for the club,” said manager, Lee Hodges. “Ben is the type of character that we need here. He is a strong and determined defender who will become a key figure in our back-line.”

Meanwhile, six players from last season’s squad have agreed to stay at the club for next season.

Leading scorer, Andrew Neal is joined by River Allen, Cody Cooke, Tom McHale, Jamie Richards and Niall Thompson.
