His side are up to third in the National League table after Saturday’s 1-0 win over promotion rivals Yeovil Town.
Their unbeaten run now stands at an impressive 15 matches after Kabongo Tshimanga struck a second-half winner - his 17th of the season.
Garrard instructed his players to make the most of their previous win against AFC Fylde but now there is just no time to celebrate a job well done.
He told the club’s YouTube channel: “After we beat Fylde we had a little break so we made sure the players really enjoyed it.
“I told them after the Yeovil game they can only enjoy it until 8pm that night!
“We are playing on Tuesday night, our re-arranged game with Aldershot, so there’s no time to really enjoy this one.
“Things haven’t changed because we are on a good run of form.
“You have to be at your absolute maximum every single week. This is the National League and every side is a good side.
“We can’t deal with Simon Weaver and Harrogate, we cant deal with Pete Wild and Halifax - we can‘t deal with Neil Smith and Bromley.
“We can only look after Boreham Wood and what we are doing.”
The victory over Yeovil means they haven’t tasted defeat in the National League since October.
“We knew we have to be robust against Yeovil and the surprised us with their formation,” Garrard added.
“But in tough conditions it was a magnificent win.”
