Garrard: Chester Win Most Pleasing Result Of Season

Luke Garrard says his side showed a real determination and quality, as his Boreham Wood side gained a win at Chester.

Goals from Shaun Jeffers and Bruno Andrade proved to be the difference as Wood moved up to eighth in the Vanarama National League table, writes Tom Feaheny.

"I felt we played really well in the first-half, we could have had a bigger lead going into half-time. They got their goal and it was tough for us, it was so important to get this result, our defence did really well," Garrard said to the club's website.

"We have a strikeforce that is getting goals and the link up play shows they understand each other, even on our bench it looks strong, this is a really pleasing result, I give credit to every single player today."

They next travel up to take on Guiseley on Tuesday with Garrard saying their attention is on the Yorkshire side.

"Paul Cox is a very good manager at this level, they have won against Solihull Moors so I know it is a tough game all our focus is now on that match."
