Garrard Calls On Side To Learn From Coventry Loss

Boreham Wood's FA Cup run is over after a loss against League Two opposition in Coventry City, boss Luke Garrard believes they can gain several things from the defeat.

A 3-0 defeat at the Ricoh Arena ensured they do not enter the third round, writes Tom Feaheny.

"In the first 25, 30 minutes there was one team going for it, we had four or five corners, some shots, they have two final-third entries and we are two nil down, it shows their clinicalness," Garrard told Oli Osborn.

"When you have your moments, you have to take them, at the time, we didn't, it's a shame our strikers didn't have their shooting boots on."

Garrard has seen the whole area be excited by their run that saw them defeat Blackpool in the first round, he knows where the focus has to be now.

"The FA Cup has brought great exposure, it has brought memories, but the focus has to be back on the league now,

"It shows the level, they are ruthless, we have learnt some lessons, we want to see the character of the squad, to be on this unbeaten run in the league shows, what we can achieve."
