Garrard Admits Side Didn't Deserve Win

Boreham Wood manager Luke Garrard says his side didn't do enough to gain maximum points against FC Halifax Town.

Wood drew the match 1-1 after going a goal in front they eventually conceded with ten minutes left, writes Tom Feaheny.

Their lead was from a goal by Bruno Andrade but it was cancelled out by Adam Morgan.

"I felt it was a matter of time for them to break the deadlock for them, we got our goal, had chances but then I felt we were second best," Garrard said to the club's website..

"I felt we we second to a lot of knockdowns, we are well-drilled, we knew what Denton and Kosylo are about, but they worked well together to get them back in it."

"We are now only a few points off a play-off place still but I think this group is better than where we stand in the table."

One player Garrard praised was Kane Smith after the defender put in another good display.

"Smith has been a breath of fresh air, he's someone I enjoy working with, he has come up two leagues from last season, he doesn't look out of place at this level at all."

They next take on St Albans City in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round, a game that will be live on BBC Sport and Garrard made it clear what he is aiming for from the game.

"I want to get to the first round proper, it is simple as that, I want a good tie that gets a crowd."
