Gardiner Takes Heart From Harriers Display

Kidderminster Harriers head of coaching Matt Gardiner says the way the side played against York City is something they will build upon.

A 1-1 draw at Bootham Crescent may not have been the result they were after but performance wise, they were left happy, writes Tom Feaheny.

“We are very proud of the boys; I thought they were excellent from minute one all the way through," Gardiner told the club's website.

“We were very good defensively but were very brave on the ball.

“York are a good team on a bit of a roll but we’ve restricted them to very few chances and I don’t think Brandon has had a save to make.

"We’re very proud of what the lads have done and it gives us a good building block to take into the next game.”
