Gannon Returns to Stockport

....Stockport County, signing an eighteen-month contract at Edgeley Park.

The decision to re-appoint Gannon was taken unanimously by the Board of Directors and the club's senior advisors, following the resignation of Neil Young last week.

Gannon, 47, led the Hatters to promotion during his first spell in charge of the club in 2008, winning the League Two play-off final against Rochdale at Wembley.

He has had a highly successful spell as manager of Northwich Victoria since December 2013, and leaves the Cheshire side second in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division North following a successful run to the Second Round proper of the FA Cup.

Details of Gannon's backroom team are still being finalised.
