Fylde Fizz Again As Halifax And Dorking Both Leave It Late

By Sam Elliott

There were seven matches tonight and no shortage of goals or talking points across the three divisions.

It was one-way traffic at the EBB Stadium as AFC Fylde ran riot against ten man Aldershot Town to put real distance between themselves at the bottom four.

A sixth win in seven was achieved at a canter with two-goal Josh Kay the star. Jonathan Ustabasi and Nick Haughton carry on their goalscoring form before Joe Westley added the gloss as Chris Beech’s team continue to transform their season.

FC Halifax Town left it very late against Maidenhead United to take all three points. Tobi Sho-Silva looked to have grabbed a draw after Adan George put the hosts ahead but in the final few seconds Aaron Cosgrave grabbed the glory.

Mo Sagaf put Boreham Wood ahead against Oldham but it was a false daw. Mike Fondop-Talum on 62 minutes made it 1-1 before experienced Joe Garner struck the winner.

Dorking Wanderers are out of the bottom four after leaving it late to beat York City 1-0. Tom Blair five minutes from time made the long trip home worth it.

In the National League North, Chorley turned things around to defeat Spennymoor Town. Mike Calveley grabbed the victory to move the Magpies up to fourth after Carlton Ubaezuonu levelled.

Jordan Thewlis carried on his great season as Alfreton Town beat South Shields 1-0. The Reds are fifth after their latest win.

Dartford’s problems continue. A 1-0 home defeat to Chippenham was the last thing they needed, Craig Fasanmade hit the winner.
