Furious Darlo Boss Says FA Cup Exit Is His Lowest Moment

Martin Gray gave his players some home truths as Darlington tumbled out of the FA Cup this afternoon.

Defeat to Evo-Stik North South Shields deflated the manager who said it was the worst performance his has seen since taking over in 2012.

Although accepting the FA Vase winners were much the better side, he

"That is the worst performance I have ever seen whilst I have been Darlington manager," he said.

"It is the first time in five and a half years here that I have questioned anyone's desire or those hunger. That is a very, very big concern.

"We all have to take responsibly. This is the first time the player and my staff have ever really been questioned by the supporters - and so they should be.

"Players will be leaving and players will be coming in. At the end of the day we are here to get results. We have to make changes to go forward as a club.

"We have had a strong conversation in the dressing room and I won't tolerate this.

"I can't accept it and I will have to speak to the board of directors about what needs to be done to move forward."
