For most the curtain came down on pre-season on Saturday and now full focus turns to the opening day.

The final friendly games took place yesterday with some last minute fine tuning ahead of next weekend’s kick-off.

Some of the sides tipped for success signed up with positive results.

Barnet could even afford to miss a penalty as they eased past AFC Wimbledon 2-0, Nicke Kabamba on the spot.
