Friday Transfer Round-Up As Clubs Do Deals In Busy Week

By Tom Scott

This week has been full of deals as clubs across the Vanarama National League with a host of deals done.

We've not long passed the halfway point with April's season finale slowly coming into view.

Friday is always a big day for deals and Solihull Moors have acted quickly to arrest their slide.

Vanarama National League North top-scorer Mark Beck (pictured) has made the move to the West Midlands to give Neal Ardley's side more firepower.

Notts hope new addition Jodi Jones can see them over the line in the title race.

Luke Williams says he won't rush his new midfielder into action ahead of a packed run-in and says the deal merely adds to his options.

Williams said: "We have good players in his position so it’s not as if we’re trying to fill a void – we’re adding to the arsenal.

"We’re in a great place in the league and performances from our midfield players have been key to that, so we’re only adding to what we’ve got.

"That affords us the time we need to increase Jodi’s sharpness and understanding of the roles he’ll have to play."

Leaving Notts is promising goalkeeper Tiernan Brooks who goes on loan to Boston United.

New Bromley face Charley Kendall is well-known to Vanarama National League fans.

After impressing at Eastbourne Borough last season he made the move to League One Lincoln City.

Andy Woodman's side have borrowed the Imps' man until the end of the current season as they look to book a top seven finish.

South title hopefuls Havant & Waterlooville have bolstered their ranks with the signing of former Wealdstone man Sam Matthews.

It's one either way for Weymouth who snapped up Bashley midfielder Harvey Slade shortly after announcing striker Josh Oyinsan had left for Scottish side Peterhead.

Alfie Lloyd has impressed Eastleigh fans of late and the Spitfires have tied the teenager down until the end of the season.

Dover have loaned Crystal Palace defender David Boateng.

Elsewhere, Maz Kouhyar has penned a new deal with York City.

The fan-favourite has extended his stay at the LNER Community Stadium until 2025.
