Frecklington Urges Trinity Side To Enjoy Cup Occasion

Gainsborough Trinity manager Dave Frecklington has urged his side to enjoy the occasion as they aim to reach the second round of the prestigious competition.

For Trinity they haven't reached the second round in 65 years with a home time against Slough Town who are top of the The Evo-Stik Southern Premier League their obstacle for making history, writes Tom Feaheny.

"It is such an important stage for the players, the staff, the fans, we know what this means to everyone, we want to enjoy this while also getting through as well," Frecklington said.

"Everyone will be raring to go, they will give their all on the pitch against a side who are doing well in their league right now.

"The league form has picked up, we are on a good run, now we want to continue this cup run and make sure we don't hold anything back and show grit and determination."
