Frecklington Thinks Trinity Can Topple The Big Guns

Gainsborough Trinity manager Dave Frecklington knows his team may not be one of the Vanarama National League North promotion favourites.

But that doesn't stunt his belief that the club can achieve big things next season.

Gainsborough begin the new season at home to Leamington on the 5th of August.

After taking over last campaign and helping keep the club up, the ex Spalding United boss said the levels in the division will once again be even higher.

"You only have to look at the teams that are part time teams going full time, there is Salford City and Harrogate Town you've also got York City coming in with Southport," the manager said.

"It's going to be a fantastic league to be involved in and we think we can match the level."
