Frecklington: Positive For Trinity Before Home Games

After they picked up their first win of the season by defeating Nuneaton Town, Gainsborough next face Blyth Spartans.

Dave Frecklington believes they home match tonight is the perfect opportunity to build on the momentum they gained from their weekend win, writes Tom Feaheny.

They picked up their first points of the season after they picked up a 1-0 win at the weekend, this also included their first clean sheet of the season and the manager speaking to the club's website knows how important the back four will be this season.

"I have been very critical of the defence is some of the matches, we know that we will create chances during matches and so if we can keep clean sheets then it means we know we will get the points."

Frecklington says while they currently only have three points, performances before that first win mean they could have warranted a few more.

"We are probably feeling a little bit aggrieved that we don't have as many points on the board as we do right now, we have played some good football and showed spirit especially being 3-0 down against Darlington and getting it back to 3-3 we should have gone on from that."
