Lee Fowler will take on the role of Eaden’s number two for next season and will be in familiar surroundings having played for the club in the 2014/15 campaign, playing 21 times and scoring three goals.
The pair have previously linked up at Kettering where Eaden was assistant manager when Fowler was playing, and speaking to the club’s official website, Fowler was confident that the timing was right to move into a backroom role.
He said: “I enjoyed working with Nicky at Kettering and we've stayed in touch over the past decade, so when I was offered the role I was delighted.
“It feels like the right time to start the next chapter in my career.”
Fowler has played for an array of clubs throughout his career including Coventry City, Fleetwood and Huddersfield as well as working under fellow Welshman Dean Saunders whilst he was at Doncaster Rovers.
Fowler thinks the experience he’s gained throughout his playing career coupled with the ambition he and Eaden have, will serve the club right this season.
He said: “I've worked under a lot of different managers and I've taken bits from all of them, both good and bad.
“Our core values will be straight-forward hard work and honesty.
“We want to create a good environment for the players to thrive and build a team that both we and the fans can be proud of.”
