A 1-1 draw against Harrogate Town moved the side up to 16th and five points clear of the drop zone, writes Tom Feaheny.
"In the last two games the group have shown the desire, with big performances," Fowler told the club's website.
"We are looking difficult to beat, we created plenty of chances but then we go behind and showed that character to come back, a few weeks ago, we would have probably lost that."
"Look we could have defeated the side who are league leaders going into the game today, we had chances."
Now with two draws secured Fowler knows the importance of the next few games.
"We now have two matches against Curzon Ashton and North Ferriby United, those are the games if we pick the points up that moves us closer to our aim.
"All I want is safety, I'm not going to be pressed on a points total all that matters is that we stay up."
