Super Siju bags a treble as Aveley get on the board

Aveley enjoyed a three-point matchday against Taunton Town. The newly promoted side now sit tenth in the table after a 4-1 win - making it their first win of the season following a defeat to Chippenham Town last weekend.

Siju Odelusi sealed the win for the side as he claimed his hat-trick - opening the scoring in the 18th minute from the penalty spot.

Taunton Town equalised just before half-time with Odelusi putting Aveley back in the lead only three minutes later.

Charlee Hughes also got on the scoresheet for the Millers - making it three to the home side.

Odelusi hit the back of the net for the third time in the 94th minute, solidifying the three points and the hat-trick. The team will be hoping to continue on the high of their win when they face Eastbourne Borough on Monday.

Blyth Spartans maintain only 100% record in the North

Blyth Spartans relish in a second consecutive win with a total of six goals and six points.

This week they travelled to Warrington Town and took three points home with JJ O’Donnell finding the target in the 13th minute.

JJ Hooper doubled their lead on the cusp of half-time. The 29-year-old enjoys his second goal in a week after scoring on opening day against Gloucester City in their 4-2 win.

The Spartans finished 19th last season and will be aiming to climb higher in the table this season.

Six-goal thriller as Spireites see off AFC Fylde

Chesterfield took three points home after travelling to Fylde. The Spireites are only on their second matchday and have already celebrated eight goals.

Three of the goals have come from 26-year-old Liam Mandeville after he scored two last week against Dorking Wanderers and followed it up on Saturday, with another one. He is currently the top goal scorer in the league with his three goals.

Ryan Colclough has also contributed two goals this season with one coming against Fylde - contributing to their four-goal win.

The other two came courtesy of Tyrone Williams and Will Grigg.

By the second-half they were 3-0 up before scoring another in the opening moments of the second-half. Fylde got two goals back, but it was not enough to secure any points.

The final nail in the coffin came when Fylde goal scorer, Harry Davis, was shown a second yellow and the side were forced to go down to ten men.

Chesterfield go into the next matchday second in the table while Fylde will hope to climb from 19th as they face a tough start to life back in the National division.

Southend perfect start still intact

Despite the off-the-pitch situations around Southend United, the team have managed to stick together and win both their games comfortably.

Southend made their way to Dagenham & Redbridge who finished tenth last season.

Harry Cardwell put the Shrimpers in front just before the 20-minute mark - his second goal this season so far.

Wes Fonguck made way for Oli Coker in the 60th minute. Coker rewarded the substitution by doubling the lead and securing the win for Southend.

Taking the three points home has kept them top of the table, just ahead of Chesterfield and Barnet who are also on six points following consecutive wins.
