Four Sides Book Final Places For U19 Alliance And Academy Cup Final

By Tom Scott

We now know which sides will be battling it out for the National League U19 Alliance League Cup and National League Football Academy Cup.

National League Football Academy Cup
Holders Maidstone United booked their place in consecutive finals with a narrow win over Slough Town. The Ambers won 1-0 courtesy of a first-half Tyler Jackson-Hunt penalty.

In the other semi-final, Chester won by the same scoreline - a Ryan Atkinson goal was enough to see them through.

National League U19 Alliance League Cup
Many more goals scored in the National League U19 Alliance League Cup as Tamworth and Eastleigh progressed to the final.

Spitfires boss Jason Brookes thought Holland & Blair 'couldn't live' with his side as they ran out comfortable 4-1 winners in their last-four tie.

Skipper Colby Killick finished things off for Eastleigh after Freddie Beale (2) and Freddie Ingram had made things comfortable.

Brookes said: "It was a very professional and pleasing performance from the boys, we took our game to them, and they couldn’t live with us."

"It was a really good performance from our boys, and we are proud to make the final of this competition.

"It was a tough game against a good opponent, so we had to be on top of our game to have got a result."

Tamworth booked their place in the final with a 4-2 win over Kidderminster Harriers.

Harriers - who won the competition in 2016 - were put to the sword by the Lambs.

Finals for both games will take place on Wednesday 7 May with further details to be confirmed in due course.
