Former Boss Burman Stays On At Dartford Behind The Scenes

Dartford have confirmed their legendary manager Tony Burman will remain a part of the club.

Burman left his position at the end of last season with Welling manager Jamie Coyle and Concord boss Adam Flanagan taking over.

But the club’s fans haven’t seen the last of the man who served the club so well for 14 years.

He will be the new managing director Princes Park - and will also head-up the Darts’ academy.

“With the appointment of Adam and Jamie as joint managers, it has given us the opportunity to rearrange the structure behind the scenes,” the club said in a statement.

“The board are delighted to announce that Tony Burman will be continuing in his day time role as Managing Director and Head of our Academy.

“Building on his great organisational skills. Jack Smedley has now been made Operations Manager with responsibility for running the overall facility at Princes Park and in charge of its day to day running.

“Our new football management team are fully behind the Boards announcements and are delighted to be working together with Tony and Jack

“These are exciting times ahead and we are confident that we have a great team working both on and off the pitch.”
