The former Reading striker is set to bolster the attacking options at The New Lawn, and has been given permission by his parent club to appear in both the Emirates FA Cup and FA Trophy.
Snapped up by League Two Stevenage at the end of last season following a prolific two-season spell in the fifth tier with Aldershot Town, Williams has featured 17 times for Stevenage this year, with his last goal coming in a 1-1 draw at Portsmouth in front of 15,000 spectators last month.
He hit the back of the net 15 times for Aldershot last season, while the previous 2013/14 campaign saw him notch 24 times in the league.
The 27-year-old started his career in non-League circles at Eastleigh, and after successful goalscoring stints for the Spitfires, as well as AFC Totton and Winchester City, he joined Reading in a five-figure move in January 2011.
He’s since spent time on loan in the Football League at Rotherham United and Northampton Town, as well as time again in the fifth tier at Woking.
He is set to make his first league appearance for Forest Green on Saturday when Altrincham are the visitors to The New Lawn.
