Fondop Finds New Home As Magpies Grab Wrexham Man

Maidenhead United think Mike Fondop could be the man to fire them to safety.

The striker, 25, signs on loan from Wrexham until the end of the season.

Alan Devonshire hasn’t been happy with the Magpies’ goal for tally this term and has been looking to add another forward for a while.

He’s got his man and the Red Dragons hope their player can do them a favour by scoring at title rival Leyton Orient for his new team this weekend.

Maidenhead’s chief scout Lee Devonshire told the club’s website: "Mike is someone we have admired for a long time.

“He is a mobile powerful centre forward with good technical ability and will compliment the other attacking options at the club.

“At our league game with Wrexham where Mike scored I actually sat with his agent and we discussed a few of his clients but didn't realise later in the season we would be discussing Mike in such detail as we have this week."
