Solihull Moors were 2-0 down to the out-of-form Bees and it looked like their stay as National League leaders would be short lived.
But a second-half revival - and positive results elsewhere - meant it was a better afternoon than at one point it appeared to be.
But manager Flowers told his players they can’t be so sloppy if they want to stay in the race for automatic promotion.
“You just can’t give goals like that away,” he said following the entertaining 2-2 draw.
“There was nothing, no problem and then bang - we’re picking the ball out of our net twice. They were both from throw ins in the middle of the pitch!
“You just can’t do that if you want to achieve something. The two goals we let in were horrific. Absolutely horrific.
“But come the end I don’t know how we have won it,” he added.
“It was a mixture of poor finishing and poor decision making really but we showed we can score goals and we don’t know when we’re beaten.
“We have earned a point from being two goals down so you have to take the positives out of that.”
