Flowers Happy As Moors Improve To Slay Red Dragons

Tim Flowers was delighted with his side’s performance as they got back to winning ways.

Moors ended a three game winless run with a win at league leaders Wrexham, writes Tom Scott.

After the game, Flowers was in buoyant mood about his side’s showing.

“It was a magnificent performance coming off the back of a disappointing result at Harrogate on Saturday,” he told the club’s official website.

“It’s always difficult on a quick turnaround like that. We’ve got a small squad and every credit has to go to every single one of them.

“It could’ve been a bad game for us - you’re welcoming top of the league. There was a huge away following and it made the atmosphere really good.

“You either flake away or stand up to the challenge – we were excellent.

He added, “Defensively we were good as a team, not just as a back four but I also thought we were a handful up front – it’s quite a good blend.

“If we stick to doing what we know works, then we’re a match for anyone. I’m delighted but there’s still a lot of work to do.”
