The Fleet’s defeat to Aldershot on Tuesday night was their first since Boxing Day 2016.
Although the gloss has been slightly taken off the efforts by too many draws this season, McMahon was proud of what has been achieved.
But with only one win in ten now, the manager says they need to pick themselves up quickly.
Ebbsfleet face another side desperate to win this weekend - Tranmere Rovers.
“It’s been a brilliant run but all good things come to an end eventually,” said the Fleet’s manager.
“We now need to put some wins together and get on another one. I don’t think we’re too far away from getting it.
“The players are working hard, but we’re not winning games of football and that’s what we need to be doing.
“We had chances last night but we didn’t score when we were on top. Before they scored we had some good opportunities.
“We’ve got to learn from this and hopefully be better on Saturday and put away our chances when they come.”
