We saw some impressive results across our divisions and we’ve picked out the top five things to take away from another action-packed weekend, writes Tom Feaheny.
The Coasters Keep Up Their Fine 2018 Form.
Dave Challinor's AFC Fylde are now just three points off a play-off place, Danny Rowe's fine free-kick with minutes to go saw the Coasters defeat Guiseley 2-1. It is now five games unbeaten and they have still yet to lose in 2018, with Rowe now on 15 goals for the season so far.
Hessenthaler Is Working His Magic At Eastleigh.
Since 18th December when Andy Hessenthaler was moved to manager in a restructuring, few would have predicted they would then go five unbeaten starting with a win at Dag & Red, this time they defeated Torquay United away from home, this result moved them to 14th and points wise they are now nearer the play-offs then the relegation zone.
The Minstermen Are A Fource To Be Reckoned With.
York City made it four wins in a row with a Yorkshire derby victory against Bradford Park Avenue, this victory moved the Minstermen into the play-off places, with Jon Parkin once again getting on the score sheet, they are now sixth and play again tomorrow so they could end Tuesday night in 4th place.
Is Whitehawk's Great Escape On?
It is now three games unbeaten for Whitehawk, for a team that couldn't buy a win in 2017 in this league campaign, they are 15 points away from safety at present, but they will take heart from 1-0 win away at Oxford City, while it will take an impressive run for them to pick up the required points they have given themselves a chance thanks to their three game unbeaten run to start 2018.
Hampton & Richmond Keep On Impressing.
You have to go back to the 26th of August since Hampton & Richmond Borough last lost a league game, they made it 20 unbeaten after Saturday’s 2-1 victory at Eastbourne Borough, what is impressive is this run isn't holding the team back as they keep on going for victories rather than adding draws to the unbeaten run, they are now 2nd in the table.
