There were super comebacks and well as late drama and wonder-goals on a busy evening of post-Bonfire night football.

Yeovil Town win for a 12th match in a row as they send out a very clear message to the rest of the National League South with victory at rivals Torquay United.

The Glovers survived a scare to maintain their three point lead with a 3-1 success, Jake Hyde added to goals from Frank Nouble and Sonny Blu Lo-Everton as they leave Plainmoor with a massive victory.

Chasers Bath City blitzed Weymouth 5-1 in Dorset. Two-goal Elliott Frear, Scott Wilson, Cody Cooke and Jordan Thomas were all on target on a one-sided evening.

Braintree Town were just too strong for St Albans City, Shaquile Coulthirst, 29, hit two goals as they cruised to a 4-0 win at Cressing Road and it was the same scoreline at Slough Town, who sent Truro City packing.

Worthing are back in business and so is Ollie Pearce, he scored as the Rebels added to Havant & Waterlooville’s woes. Exciting Caine Bradbury starred again for Chippenham as they bettered Farnborough.

Chelmsford City are back in the play-offs - Charlie Ruff’s winner at Dartford gave the Essex club a big lift.

Levi Amantchi scored again for Maidstone United as Eastbourne Borough’s problems continued in Kent. Hampton & RB couldn’t win for a seventh straight game, they were held 0-0 at Tonbridge Angels.

Welling United threw away a 2-0 lead at fellow bottom four dwellers Dover Athletic. TJ Bramble scored after Jephte Tanga slotted the Wings in front but Paris Lock started the fight-back before Charlie Naylor rescued a point.

Scunthorpe United end their long wait for a National League North away win, Connor Smith scored once again as they left Banbury United with a 2-0 win.

South Shields also turned up the temperature on Tamworth. They move level on points after a winner from Paul Blackett, pictured, was enough to see of Buxton. Title rivals Spennymoor Town slipped to a surprise 2-1 home defeat to Curzon Ashton. Issac Sinclair spun the game on its head.

There was no FA Cup distraction for Alfreton, who won 4-0 at Bishop’s Stortford. Liam Waldock treated the Reds fans to another wonder-goal.

Ben Atkinson’s penalty double helped Farsley Celtic to a fine 2-0 win over promotion hunters Boston United. Cuba Meyer put the seal of Peterborough Sports’ success against Darlington.

Chorley and Scarborough drew 1-1 as Yusifu Ceesay got the winner for Hereford against faltering Brackley Town.

Southport produced a great comeback to lead Blyth Spartans with a point, Niall Watson made it 3-3 in the North East.

It was late joy for King’s Lynn Town who jump out of the bottom four. Bartosz Cybulski’s 91st minute penalty turned things around in dramatic style at Rushall Olympic.
