Fantastic Weekend Of FA Cup Football Is Fast Approaching!

By Sam Elliott

The National League clubs are joining the FA Cup party - so who’ll bring the bubbly and which side’s champagne will taste a little flat?

Our clubs are just 90 minutes away from a potential money-spinner with a League One or League Two big team- and then who knows what as the competition gathers pace.

In recent years it has been our sides currently playing in the National League North and South who have written huge headlines.

They’re all still in and determined to created more magical moments.

History-making Maidstone United - who were famously one game away from the quarter-finals last year - plan another higher-level scalp. It’s Kent foes Ebbsfleet United next in their eye-line.

Boreham Wood have Luke Garrard back at the helm and face Carshalton Athletic while Kidderminster Harriers - who pushed West Ham so close a few years ago - meet Guiseley, who stunned Scunthrope in the last round.

There’s another club of course who know how to stir the pot.

Sutton United beat Leeds United before welcoming Arsenal in 2017 and they take on Chertsey Town looking to avoid becoming the story themselves.

Three-time semi-finalists Oldham Athletic faces FC Halifax Town while Gateshead have a tricky test at Hednesford.

New AFC Fylde manager Kevin Phillips couldn’t have asked for a much harder start with Rochdale paying a visit this weekend.

Tamworth welcome Robbie Savage's Macclesfield while Altrincham meet Solihull Moors and Southend United go to Eastleigh.

York City will know they have to be on it at Biggleswade while it will be tricky at Taunton Town for Maidenhead United.

Woking welcome Slough Town while there’s a Lincolnshire derby as Gainsborough Trinity play Boston United.

Fourth round qualifying winners earn £9,375 from the prize pot, with defeated sides banking a £3,125 cheque.
