Familiar Face Of Bolder Is Handed North Ferriby Post

North Ferriby United have appointed former player Chris Bolder as their new manager.

Ferriby recently sacked Steve Housham and his assistant Darryn Stamp shortly after another former player, Jamie Waltham, completed his takeover of the club from Steve and Eman Forster.

Bolder spent seven seasons in two spells with the Villagers between 2005 and 2008 and 2009 to 2013.

He played in the Football League for Grimsby Town between 2001 and 2004 after coming through the youth ranks at Hull City.

The 35-year-old also appeared for Ossett Town and Guiseley AFC.

More recently he has been assisting Steve Kittrick at Evo-Stik League North outfit Scarborough Athletic, who he joined prior to the 2013/14 season along with several former North Ferriby team-mates.

Bolder was cruelly sidelined in November 2014 with a cruciate knee injury against Bamber Bridge, but he still kept involved with the club as a coach.

In December 2015, he stepped up alongside Matty Bloor to take temporary charge of the first-team and was key to the subsequent appointment of Kittrick as manager.
