FA Trophy Draw Made As National League Clubs Enter

By Sam Elliott

The draw for the second round of the FA Trophy has this afternoon been published by the Football Association.

The National League North and South clubs come in at this stage and have now discovered who they will face first as the join the competition.

The next round of the FA Trophy, won by FC Halifax Town back in May, will take place on Saturday 18 November.

Some interesting ties came out of the hat as clubs plot their route to Wembley.

The tie of the round is without doubt a huge west country meeting between Torquay United and Yeovil Town.

There's an all-Kent tie as Maidstone United face Dartford.

National League North leaders Tamworth face a tough test at Billericay Town, while Scunthorpe United host Darlington.

Chester are at Nantwich Town while the 2021 winners Brackley Town are at Stafford Rangers.

Alfreton welcome Macclesfield, while Dover and Weymouth meet as Southport meet South Shields with another of same-division meetings.

The winners receive £3,750 with the losing sides also earning £1,000.
