FA Cup Tie Is A Useful Break For Maidstone Says Saunders

Maidstone United's FA Cup second round tie at MK Dons has come at a good time reckons manager Jay Saunders, whose side is in a slight rut in the Vanarama National League.

The Stones have suffered consecutive 4-0 defeats with the latest coming at Tranmere Rovers last weekend.

But now they head to League One's MK Dons tomorrow hoping to produce another upset after winning at Cheltenham Town in a 4-2 thriller.

"I'm looking forward to it because it gives us a little break from the league," said Saunders. "We've have two defeats and a draw in the last three games so it comes at a good time to have a break.

"There's no pressure on us. We can go out and enjoy it and have a free shot at MK Dons. Hopefully we can produce a performance like we did at Cheltenham.

"They're a good footballing side. I've watched their games but I think we can cause them problems defensively. We can't have a day like at Tranmere - we have to take those chances because if you don't, you're not going to stand much of a chance."
