FA Cup Live Boost For Clubs As TV Bosses Make Picks

National League clubs are set for a huge cash boost after their FA Cup second round ties were selected for live TV.

Chester or York City’s game with 2013 winners Wigan Athletic will be broadcast live on Friday December 1 on BBC 2.

Then on the Saturday it is BBC1 for Alfreton Town when they welcome Walsall, kick off 12.30pm.

Representation doesn’t stop there with two games coming on the Sunday.

Eastleigh’s home game with Reading will also be shown - the Spitfires’ match will be on ITV1, that one begins at 1.30pm.

On ITVX, Yeovil Town’s trip to Wrexham will also get TV coverage.

Those matches selected for live coverage next month will receive a £60,000 broadcast fee, while Yeovil will make £20,000 for their trip to north Wales.
