Experienced Yeates Joins Spitfires

Eastleigh have signed experienced winger or midfielder Mark Yeates.

The 32-year-old gained national recognition for being among the goalscorers in Bradford City's shock 4-2 Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round win against Chelsea in January 2015.

Yeates brings a wealth of experience with over 450 career appearances, more than 150 of which have been in the Championship.

The former Republic of Ireland under-21 international started his career with Tottenham Hotspur before moving to Colchester United in 2007, where his performances earned him a £500,000 switch to Middlesbrough in 2009.

Moves to Sheffield United and Watford followed before spells in League One with Bradford City and Oldham Athletic.

Yeates made thirty appearances in all competitions while playing for Blackpool and Notts County last season.

He joined the Magpies in January, but was released by the Magpies at the end of the season.
