Experienced Keeper Re-Unites With Bignot At Chester

By Steve Whitney

Manager Marcus Bignot has been re-united with vastly experienced goalkeeper Nathan Vaughan at Chester FC.

Vaughan returned to Solihull Moors in the summer from Worcester City following their drop to the Midland League.

Birmingham-born Vaughan had left City for Bignot and promoted Moors in the National League during the 2016/17 close-season and made seventeen appearances.

As part of his comeback last season, the 36-year-old former Kidderminster Harriers keeper also turned out for City and their landlords Bromsgrove Sporting.

He was released by Moors at the end of last month and will be remembered for his wonder-goal against Torquay United in late August which saw him win National League player of the month award.
