Exciting FA Cup Draw For Our National League Clubs

By Sam Elliott

The FA Cup draw has been made this afternoon at Wembley Stadium and for the first time this season there is National League interest.

As our clubs begin to enter the competition the draw has certainly thrown up some very interesting second qualifying round matches.

The National League North and South clubs enter as the FA Cup really starts to hot up.

North heavywights York City and Salford City clash, while Darlington play South Shields in a big north east battle.

Spennymoor Town and Gainsborough Trinity meet in another same division tie, while Kidderminster must be careful at Step 5 Deeping Rangers.

It’s not quite as exciting for our sides in the South but Chippenham go to Weymouth in what will be a full-blooded tie and there are a number of league clashes.

Whitehawk play Oxford City, in form Gloucester City take on Hungerford and Bognor Regis face Weston super Mare.

Meanwhile Salisbury vs Poole Town is a game which will attract attention, no doubt.
