Everything That Happened On Wednesday Night

By Sam Elliott

The second midweek dose of National League action didn’t disappoint with some victories secured.

The battle of the play-off chasers ended all squad, neither FC Halifax Town or Rochdale able to find the breakthrough as both sides fired blanks.

Talented 21-year-old Matt Ward won three points for Woking as Neal Ardley defeated his former club Solihull Moors.

Eastleigh got down to work closing the gap on the play-off places with a convincing 3-0 win over Dagenham & Redbridge.

Tyrese Shade and Niall Maher got the job done early, with Ludwig Francillette adding the gloss in the second half.

Matt Robinson gave Braintree Town the lead in the sixth minute against Wealdstone but it proved to be a false dawn.

A Henry Gray own goal hauled the visitors level before defender Josh Grant made it 2-1 - his second winning in five days.
