Evatt Knows Some Good Business Has Already Been Done

Ian Evatt believes more clubs than ever will fancy their chances this season.

The Barrow manager is impressed by the business already done by a number of rival clubs.

The former Chesterfield hero celebrates his first anniversary in charge this weekend - and the club certainly progressed in his first 12 months at the helm.

Now fans are wondering if the Bluebirds can be in with a promotion shout during his second season in the Holker Street dug-out.

Evatt has spoken to the Barrow News & Mail about the summer so far.

He told them: "You've seen with other clubs, Fylde are doing a hell of a lot of business at the moment.

"Solihull have brought Paul McCallum in and Bromley have recruited a lot.

“People are doing their work earlier this season because I think everybody feels that there's a chance, there's an opportunity to really push on this season.

"I feel the same way. I can’t wait.”
