Evatt Helps Himself To New Left-Back Brough

Barrow have this morning made their fifth summer signing as former Carlisle United defender Patrick Brough joined.

The 23-year-old left-back appears to be the replacement for Dan Jones, who joined Salford City earlier this month.

Manager Ian Evatt says he is now only looking to bring in one more player before the team return for pre-season.

He said: "We needed a left-sided defender, we needed someone who was athletic, someone who is good with the ball and Patrick ticks all those boxes.

"With him being a Cumbrian lad as well, it should keep the locals happy and we're looking forward to getting started.

"He's a big physical specimen, but he's also very technical and good with the ball.

"We need and have to have technical players in our team to be the possession-based team that we are and Patrick is that."
