Eustace Describes His Players' Efforts As 'Difference Class'

Kidderminster Harriers` manager John Eustace has hailed the attitudes and efforts of his players as ‘different class’ following the team’s 1-1 pre-season friendly draw with Birmingham City.

The Reds pegged back their Championship neighbours on an entertaining Wednesday night at Aggborough.

That followed industrious efforts against Derby County, Aston Villa and Burnley just to name a few – and the manager is understandably thrilled with the level of effort from his charges.

He believes it’s a great sign going into the new National League North campaign that gets underway next weekend (Saturday 5th) with the visit of Chorley.

While he hopes to still add to his squad between now and then, he couldn’t be happier with the mentality of the group that’s already starting to become evident.

“The work-rate was fantastic and that’s what we’re after in pre-season,” Eustace told his club`s official website. “They want to play for each other and work hard for each other.

“We need to get the boys fit.

“Their attitudes and the way they went about things was great tonight.

“We’re playing against really good players, but we’re closing them down and working hard, getting back into our shape.

“They’ve worked ever so hard… I couldn’t have been any more pleased with the work-out.

“It shows what the dressing room is like at the moment – we’re small in numbers but every one of those players is putting the effort in.

“They want to play for each other and work hard for each other.

“Their attitudes are different class”.
