Rebels' Cause Is Big News For One Lucky Slough Supporter

Slough Town are giving a fan a once in a lifetime opportunity - to be the club’s assistant manager for a match!

With Scott Davies the Rebels’ player-manager, the touchline-prowling role could come with even more responsibility.

The Vanarama National League South side are dedicating their March 22 fixture with Enfield Town to charity, and have announced that the game next Saturday will be the Thames Hospice Matchday.

The annual event helps to raise awareness and fundraise for the cause, and the club have decided to auctioning off a place on their bench.

So if you want to test out your tactical awareness or think your encouragement from the dugout could make all the difference, what are you waiting for!

The winner will get the full dressing room experience and be welcomed into Davies’ management team for the afternoon.

Anyone looking to place a bid has until 5pm tonight, and all the details can be found here.

There are plenty of other prizes on offer, including signed Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City shirts, as well as plenty of Slough Town items.

During the match the players will wear a special one-off green shirt, and they are hoping to raise even more money than last year.

The event - held against Bath City last season - raised £4,000 for Thames Hospice and subsequently manager and midfielder Davies became an ambassador for the hospice.
