Hughes Has Done His Sums And Knows Where To Look

Wrexham manager Bryan Hughes thinks he may need up to five more new signings this summer.

The Red Dragons boss made his first move in the transfer market by bringing striker Leighton McIntosh in from Scottish League One side Airdrie.

But there will be plenty more arriving if the Racecourse boss’ interview with the Evening Leader is anything to go by.

He says there is plenty of business to be done as the club look to put together another push for promotion.

"I have been good with regards to my retained list and we have got the nucleus of the squad staying which helps us build," said Hughes to the newspaper.

"We have been close the last couple of seasons and now it is adding in certain areas just to try and help the players that we have got.

“Maybe to bring a little bit more quality, pace and power to the team.

"I am looking for another four or five maybe just to finish off the squad and look forward to the start of the season, and hit the ground running."
