Ainsley: Spennymoor Picked Up A Big Three Points

Spennymoor Town boss Jason Ainsley says his side knew the importance of defeating Harrogate Town.

A 2-1 win for Spennymoor helped cement their play-off place even further after this victory, writes Tom Feaheny.

"We needed to ensure we had to go to another big game away from home and we have gained a massive three points," Ainsley told the club's website.

"It was weird we played better when they had 11 then when they went down to 10.

"You couldn't questions the effort or fitness levels, again we have shown what we are all about."

Ainsley knows that while beating the top sides is all well and good, they need to keep the levels of performance high throughout.

"We need to be a bit more consistent, we were a bit lucky to beat Leamington and then pick up this big victory."
