National League North: Complete Weekend Preview

By Tom Scott

We're at the mid-point of the penultimate month of the season and there's still so much to play for.

There might not be long left but there is everything still to play for in the National League North ahead of another big weekend of action.

Here's all you need to know about tomorrow's action.

The title race
Scunthorpe United are the latest leaders of the pack in a title race that is changing hands all the time - but it's the Iron's to lose now ahead of a trip to Farsley Celtic.

Brackley Town know they could end the weekend top of the pile once more but Buxton - who have scored eight times in their past two games - bring a stern test to town.

Chester are the other with eyes on the summit and they face Leamington.

The play-off picture
Just three points separate Kidderminster Harriers in fourth and Buxton in ninth and Phil Brown's side head to South Shields knowing a win is a must.

One of many sides hoping for a Harriers slip-up are King's Lynn who have lost just once at The Walks since early November - Spennymoor Town are next up who know a win coupled with their games in hand could give their play-off push a huge boost.

Newly crowned February Manager of the Month Paul Caddis will be hoping the fabled curse doesn't happen.

The Bulls could do without another defeat after back-to-back losses. They head to Scarborough who hit Needham for five in midweek.

After a blip to start the month Darlington have steadied the ship in their past two games and head to Peterborough Sports knowing a win could see them a handful of points away with games in the bank.

Curzon face one of two games in a few days against struggling sides although Marine have picked up and have lost just once in their last eight games.

The relegation fight
With Farsley at the league leaders plenty of sides towards the bottom will be licking their lips.

None more so than Rushall Olympic who bagged a fine win over Hereford midweek as manageress Southport head to their place.

Warrington Town's only post-Christmas win came against Rushall. The Yellows have just one win in their last 14 and could be cut adrift if they lose against fellow strugglers Radcliffe.

Oxford head to Alfreton with their seven-goal drubbing at Buxton still in their minds but a win in Derbyshire could be a huge stride towards safety.

Needham know another defeat for City could see them pull themselves out of the bottom four with a win against Chorley.
