Lions Borrow Minsterman

Sinclair became a Minsterman during the last January transfer window.

He ‘came home’ to Yorkshire, having been born in Leeds and originally starting out in Yorkshire neighbours Bradford City’s youth team, before his first steps in professional football in League One and the Championship with Nottingham Forest.

A loan spell in the National League with Mansfield Town, when Sinclair was still a teenager was followed by three years at League Two Macclesfield Town, initially on loan but then permanently. Here, the striker blossomed, demonstrating both pace and trickery in a wide role while catching the eye of many suitors with his power and determination.

Consistently linked with bigger clubs who were hungry to increase the attacking potential of their squads, Sinclair made the jump to the Championship with Peterborough United, where he began to play in a more orthodox striker role regularly. He made over fifty appearances in the Championship for Peterborough, including a memorable hat-trick at Hull City, before Crawley Town made him their big money summer signing in the summer of 2013.

A rangy striker with the ability to run behind defenders, the 28-year-old will remain with the Lions for the next month as he continues his return to first team football.
