Elliott's Pilgrims Hope 2018 Starts As Well As 2017 Ended!

Boston United’s new manager Craig Elliott could be forgiven for not wanting 2017 to end.

After getting his feet under the table at York Street, the Pilgrims haven’t looked back.

They’ve enjoyed one of their best ever Decembers, winning four from four and scoring ten goals in the process.

They ended the year with a crowd pleasing 2-0 win over Lincolnshire rivals Gainsbrough Trinity. View Match Highlights Here.

Elliott is certainly enjoying life at Boston and so are the supporters after he replaced Adam Murray in November.

He wants 2018 to be as good as this year was for him, where he took over at United after taking Shaw Lane Aquaforce to promotion last April from the Evo-Stik NPL.

He said: “It’s been an eventful year and certainly a great last month for us.

“Hopefully this is just the start of things to come and we can really push on in the new year and use this run to build momentum.

“The players deserve a lot of credit for our 100 per cent December. We’ve proven that if you work hard enough then results will follow.”

Boston face Trinity away next, before a game with Andy Morrell’s Tamworth.

“We have some difficult games coming up but we need to take out form at the end of 2017 into 2018.”
