The victory means they are now in the bottom three places on goal difference alone, writes Tom Feaheny.
“That was the best performance of the season,” Edwards told the club’s website.
“I wanted to see the fight for the shirt, the desire was there, we fought for every one on one battle, from the first player to the last substitutes you could see the work rate was there
“We had a long time with the lead but I didn’t feel like we were holding on, we created chances, so did they but it was a good performance.
“The spine of the side was excellent, the centre backs headed everything, the central midfielders were controlled, we want to see that again."
Marcus Dinanga's goal sets the side up nicely as they face Darlington next, Edwards knows what to expect.
“It will be a tough game, we know that but again if we play like this again it becomes a lot easier.”
